PRESENTATION

The Residence consists of cottage-style houses and apartments built in the Normandy style (wood decoration, wooden shutters, slate or tile roofs), spread over a 10-hectare estate. The interiors are comfortable and tastefully decorated. The houses are set around the central building, and the apartments are in 4 one-floor buildings in the Garden Club Hamlet area opposite the tennis courts. For relaxation and leisure: the covered tropical Aquatic Park and its swimming pools (with whirlpools, jacuzzi and children’s pool), sauna, hammam, tennis and children’s playground.

• Television. Available channels: 7 French channels (Canal+ unscrambled) including national and regional FR3. TPS, EUROSPORT, RTL 9, TELETOON, TV5, CNN and 2 German channels (MTV, RTL). Non-contractual information.
• Telephone in almost all accommodation (8 houses are not equipped with a telephone).

• Covered terrace with furniture (table + chairs) for houses, balcony or loggia with furniture (table + chairs) in the apartments.

• Tropical Aquatic Park, heated to 29°, with 270-m² indoor swimming pool. Depth: 0.70 m to 1.30 m. (with whirlpools, jacuzzi, children’s pool, up-stream current, hydro massage jets).
• Sauna and hammams (free access).
• Aqua gym lessons all year round with our lifeguard swimming instructors: 3 evenings per week and 3 mornings per week: € 6.00 / session (1 h). (Rates based on summer 2005).

THE RESORT AND SURROUNDING AREA

The resort.

Branville is a coastal hamlet, in the heart of the Pays d’Auge around the Cider trail.
To visit: the 18th century Church and its attractive little bell tower.

The surrounding area

Villers-sur-Mer (8 km): its market and lively pedestrian streets, beach with children’s clubs (in season), the “Vaches Noires” cliffs full of fossils (listed and preserved site), the marsh (nature reserve, lake and bird island).

Houlgate (12 km): famous for its beach, Belle Epoque villas and lively centre.

Dives-sur-Mer (19 km): attractive, well-preserved old town with authentic charm. See the 14th century covered market and church, William the Conqueror’s village and its craftsmen, antique dealers and the famous Hostellerie, a former coach inn.

Cabourg (14 km): with all the charm of the traditional Belle Epoque seaside resorts, its fine sand beach, casino and famous Marcel Proust promenade.

Deauville (15 km): its huge beach, famous “Planches" boardwalk and casino with its unique atmosphere.

Honfleur (15 km): the city of painters and great navigators.

Normandy Bridge: a magnificent 2,200-m suspension bridge over the mouth of the Seine (20 km).

Caen (30 km): The "Abbaye aux Hommes" (Men's Abbey) and "Abbaye aux Dames" (Women's Abbey) founded by William the Conqueror, the Fine Arts Museum and the Normandy Museum, the Caen Memorial, beaches of the Normandy landings, etc.

From Paris: A13 motorway to Pont l’Evêque, then drive towards Caen for 5 km and take exit no. 29 at “La Haie Tondue”. Continue towards Caen to Annebault, then turn right to Villers-sur-Mer. On arriving at Branville, turn left towards Danestal and follow the signs for the Garden Club.
