As most people are aware Chantilly is far better known for its racing, in fact Chantilly has the world's largest concentrated area for trainers and racehorses. It is truly a spectacular sight to see the local horses galloping through the beautiful surroundings and forest.

During the summer time Chantilly has a racing season packed with plenty of events, giving tourists and other guest in the area with plenty of places to go. Today Chantilly owns the world famous Conde Chateau which houses the second largest art collection in France. This is a small town but the shops which are predominantly family run give the homely atmosphere that gives Chantilly its supreme setting.

Chantilly has very good restaurants and a couple of late night bars and a disco's. However don't be deterred as a golfer there is plenty opportunity to play top quality golf here.

Chantilly is found in the Picardy and Oise region, famous throughout France for its history and nature, there are a few nature parks and plenty of forest to explore, plus there are beautiful chateaux and public gardens, which are open to everyone.

With easy access from Calais via Eurotunnel, this fantastic region has something to offer both golfers and non golfers.
