Saint Saens golf course Normandy France18 Holes 6510 yards par 71 One of the prettiest courses in Normandy with winding fairways, water and many holes cut out of the forest. The magnificent 19th century clubhouse is visible from many of the early holes and makes a grand entrance on the 18th Situated just near the charming Baryon village, the Golf de Saint-Saëns opened its first five holes in the valley during spring 1988. This golf course was definitely opened in 1989. First a private club, this golf club quickly became a commercial one Belonging to the Groupe PARTOUCHE since March 1995, this golf course is one of the most beautiful courses of Normandy. The golf de Saint Saens is situated 20 minutes from the casino of Forges-les-Eaux and the casino of Dieppe, is a complement and a real attraction for advanced golfers. Crossed by the river called " La Varenne ", its comfortable and user-friendly club house is housed in the splendid nineteenth century manor " Le Vaudichon ". In this ancient manor belonging to the family LEVERDIER are still some traces of the castle of Beaulieu ( XIVth century ), constructed in 1845, as the stables or the dovecoat which is now the caddy-master. On the first floor is situated the hall with its bar, restaurant, billiard, piano and seminar rooms as well. On the basement, caves are now becoming changing rooms. The domain, which stretches its 33 acres of forest and plain through several hundred of years old trees, is surrounded by the Eawy forest, first beech grove of France. This charming domain, even if being a young one, seems to be ancient because the architect Denis ROBINSON created a magnificent complex of fairways and greens without any transformations.
