Le Champ de Bataille Golf Course18 holes 6600 yards par 72. A truly impressive championship course that has been compared with Wentworth and Woburn. The chateau forms the back drop and houses the convivial clubhouse, bar and restaurant. The two new holes were made after the previous 1st and 18th ran along the grounds of the Chateau which has now been bought off a famous French interior designer who now has forced the club to move the two holes out of view of the chateau. See Course review One of the top 25 most beautiful courses in France. The champ de Bataille Golf course wanders through the estates woodland, follows its natural valleys, crosses it's lakes, safeguards it's centuries old trees and immense clusters of rhododendron bushes. Designed by the American architect Robin Nelson and the French landscape architect Thierry Huau, this championship course extends over 370 acres, and is situated in the middle of an ancient forest. The club house is part of an impressive XVII century castle. Situated in the historic centre of Normandy, with Paris, Caen, Dieppe or Deauville 90 minutes and Rouen 30 minutes away, the Champ de Bataille is a lively and welcoming club with a challenging course winding through a protected forest. Untold riches are waiting to be found nearby; historic sites, manor houses and abbeys, local craftsmanship, museums to be discovered, gardens to be explored and top class restaurants to be appreciated.
