This is still known as the No.1 classic course in France created in 1909 by the world famous architect Tom Simpson and is consistently voted one of the top five courses in continental Europe

This wonderful course is over 100 years old and has hosted the prestigious French Open a record ten times

The recent upgrading from 18 holes to 36 has affected the way the course unwinds, yet Simpson's original masterpiece is still an old-fashioned, beautiful parkland course that you'd have to be a total golfing philistine not to relish

This is a genuinely a testing course and novices trying their luck here can expect to spend a lot of time searching in vain for balls in the rough.
