La Mer was originally designed the legendary by Harry Colt and was inaugurated more recently in 1931. This golf course can be likened to a genuine Scottish links and has been chosen on several occasions for the French Open and the Amateur Championships of France. Recently voted in the Top 100 courses in Europe the course offers its golfers a magnificent landscape that is mainly sculpted around the rugged and wind-swept dunes of the Coast. The fast greens along with the heather & gorse make this a must for all golfers.

Location:- Situated less than an hours drive from the Channel Tunnel and only minutes from the A16 Motorway.

Facilities:- Bar and restaurant in clubhouse. A variety of hot and cold food is available. The hospitality extended in the bar is exceptional. Pro Shop, Carts, caddies, Practice range, and putting green.

Hole 1. Par 5 S/I 7. A fairly straight forward hole to start with. Try to position your second shot to the left for a better angle of approach to the green.

Hole 2. Par 3 S/I 3 The first par 3 this is a deceptive hole, it looks shorter than it is. The bunkers are short of the green.

Hole 3. Par 4 S/I 15 The elevated tee gives you a good view down the hole. Can be tough if played into the wind.

Hole 4. Par 5 S/I 13 Nothing too tricky about this one. The green has one or two deceptive borrows.

Hole 5. Par 4 S/I 9 A dead straight hole, with nothing much to worry about. The opening to the green is guarded by a bunker front left and trees short right, so make sure you take enough club to get through.

Hole 6. Par 4 S/I 17 Runs alongside the fifth, so one of them will be into the wind. A similar hole to the fifth as well, again the green is guarded by a bunker and trees at the entrance.

Hole 7. Par 3 S/I 11 Slightly uphill and normally into the wind, this is another deceptively long par 3. The two bunkers short and left tend to get plenty of visitors!

Hole 8. Par 3 S/I 5 This is where the course starts to live up to its reputation. The second shot is up to an elevated green. There's no safe place to miss the fairly small target, so try not to!

Hole 9. Par 4 S/I 1 The ideal tee shot is a slight fade here, anything pulled is in danger of finding the lake. Once more, all the danger is short of the green.

Hole 10. Par 3 S/I 16 (why) If you've been looking at the score card thinking, "this is an easy short par 3" Think again! No where to go if you're short, tricky chip down from the bank on the right, BIG drop down on the left. Try to find the green!

Hole 11. Par 4 S/I 4 Now you're starting to see the best of "La Mer." Normally against the wind off the tee, this requires two long hits to reach in regulation, especially if he pin is at the back of the 44 meter green. Two bunkers short of the green are waiting if you under club.

Hole 12. Par 4 S/I 6 A little bit of rest bite, this is still a good hole but is reachable quite easily in two, with no danger around the green.

Hole 13. Par 5 S/I 14 Good long par 5 Don't push the second shot into the bunkers, much better to be up the left for a better angle to the green.

Hole 14. Par 4 S/I 12 A long tee shot up the right half of the fairway and you should be on in two. However if you go left or are short the approach is much more difficult. Three bunkers guard the front of the green.

Hole 15. Par 3 S/I 8 The last par 3. Not too much trouble except long left. Watch out if the wind is behind, you could easily over club.

Hole 16. Par 4 S/I 4 A long tight par 4, two bunkers short of the green so select your approach shot carefully.

Hole 17. Par 5 S/I 18 Big hitters can get home in two here. Those who think they are longer than they really are should be wary of the two fairway bunkers at the top of the hill. (Personal experience!)

Hole 18. Par 4 S/I 10 The final hole is one of the best on the course. Great views from the elevated tees should be taken in before taking the driver for the last time. Watch out for the bunker short left of the green.
