The Resort is located on the riverbanks of the Gironde peninsula, on a 55-hectare estate in the heart of the Medoc region, neighbour of the famous Chateau Margaux. You will be struck by the exceptional beauty of its location. The Relais is standing in a huge park bordered by the Gironde, a marvellous combination of French elegance and English comfort carefully nurtured by its owner

This Chateau was originally a well know vineyard that was purchased by a famous Bordeaux family that lived here until 1984. In 1985 the property was transformed into a Country Inn and subsequently purchased by the group "Belhotel" in December 1997 and completely restored and renovated. New rooms were also built which doubled the capacity.

The seventeen Club bedrooms, situated in the heart of the building, with walls that are 50 centimetres thick, give you the opportunity to discover the charming and traditional Bordeaux style. Amenities include…direct phone, mini bar, satellite TV, safe, trouser press, fully equipped bathroom (toilet, shower, bath, bidet, hair dryer). The five Suites, which are double the size of the Prestige rooms, are located in different parts of the building, and offer space, brightness, and unique views.

Activities on the 55 hectares hotel grounds include...tennis, outside swimming pool, putting green, jogging trails, and soon a balneo therapy center. For guests who enjoy exploring, the bassin d'Arcachon is only 45 minutes from Bordeaux. Climb the highest sand dune, the Pyla (112 m), enjoy several lakes and the pine forest of Landes and Gascogne (the largest forest in Europe), and finally discover the 1,000,000 hectares of vineyards.
