Welcome to the Florida in Alsace where US style golf combines with a rather attractive local-style club-house. The landscape is dotted with lakes, in fact 9 of the 18 holes carry water and this puts a lot of pressure on inexperienced players. The pars 5's are particularly well-laid out, but going for the green in two is a risky business. Architect Jeremy Pern has intelligently made the best of very flat terrain.

At La Wantzenau Golf Course there has been some clever grading work and the greens are huge and generally undefended up-front, thus allowing players to play safe, even if it means counting on their short game to save par.

Although the course is far from any sea, it can get windy and this makes a big difference on what is an excellent course with clearly visible hazards, whatever tees you play from.
