The courses excellent soft design, was created by the British architect Martin Hawtree. It is particularly well adapted to the hot sun and Mistral wind characterizing the region. Ranked Frances 4th most beautiful 9 hole golf course, the site benefits from exceptional geological features and extremely varied Mediterranean vegetation, including olive trees, almond trees, strawberry trees, bays, evergreen oaks, poplars, yews, etc.

Its wide fairways and spacious, relatively well protected greens, crowned with small hillocks and a few bunkers are, in theory fairly easy to master.

The rather flat first lap moves away from the Clubhouse, crosses an olive grove then leads into a pine ticket. Here suspended on the rock, you will see the ruined dungeons of the "Forteresse des Baux", where Viscount Raymond de Turenne delighted in sending his prisoners to their death in the 14th century. The course then crosses a line of age old fig trees, skirts around "Mas Sainte-Berthe" reputed for its "Coteaux des Baux" wines and AOC olive oil, goes past an imposing old oak, then crosses a shady pine forest and a line of yews. The homeward journey to the Clubhouse takes you down a majestic alley of towering trees.

Built around a square court, the clubhouse is installed in a tall, wide farmhouse whose gravel terrace is shaded by plane trees. Take a minute to savour a soft drink before setting out to play a second round.

Overall this is an excellent course, and it is set in the most scenic surroundings in the South of France.
