The Evian Royal Ermitage, an immense anglo-normand-savoyard style chalet, was built in 1907 by the architect Martinet in response to the extraordinary development of the thermal centre in Evian. Its wooden galleries open onto Lake Leman and it dominates the Evian Royal Palace which it so admirably complements.

As soon at is opened, its clientele of counts and countesses and
renowned families conferred upon it a reputation for elegance.

The Evian Royal Ermitage remained open until the 30’s. It was
transformed into a hospital from 1950 to 1988, when the Société des Eaux Minérales d’Evian bought it with the intention of restoring it to its original vocation.

In April 1991, following complete renovation, this 4 star hotel opened its doors to the public again. It offers its guests natural-style luxury and comfort reflected in its interior decoration, warm colours and irreproachable service.
