Oostburg Golf ClubLocation:- Brugge, Belgium 6402 Metres 18 holes Par 73 Oostburg Golf and Country Club - also known as the Brugse Vaart (Bruges Canal) - was founded in 1986 in keeping with the Anglo-American philosophy of golf, a time-honoured philosophy which the club hopes to perpetuate into the future. The complex extends over a wide area and includes a spaciously laid-out golf course, gardens and golf accommodation. The Brugse Vaart is a par 73 Championship Course, with a total length of 6,402 metres. The twisting water hazards are an important element in the playing difficulty of the course and ensure that it will continue to appeal to players of all standards for many years to come. Particularly notable is the high standard of maintenance. Numerous green keeping staff ensure that this well manicured course is kept in tip-top condition. At Oostburg Golf and Country Club, the club house shows an unmistakeable feeling for timeless beauty. This timeless quality can also be found in many of the other detailed features of the Brugse Vaart. Situated in the western part of Dutch Flanders, the club is close to the Belgian border and just a short distance from the elegant coastal resort of Knokke-Heist. Here there was still room enough to construct a magnificent 18 hole Championship Course, complete with all necessary ancillary facilities, with an option to add a further 18 holes at a later date.
